Bright is the new Black

11 Feb

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past couple months, you would know that bright colors are in. Whether it be neon tops, skirts or nails, it seems to be the best way to make the depression of winter feel a little bit better. Now, this doesn’t mean that you should look like a walking highlighter that’s about to go rage at an Avicii concert. Bright colors should be done in moderation and tastefully.

I am in LOVE with these tops! I just recently got a couple from Forever 21 (I think they were under 20 bucks- such a steal!) You can dress them down with a pair of skinny jeans and boots or dress them up with a tight skirt, either way they are a great staple for your closet.

I have a confession to make…I am a Tory Burch addict. From clothes to bags to shoes.. I want it all. When I saw this clutch I thought it would be perfect. The bright magenta would go great with a white blouse or a simple black dress and would definitely make you stand out of a crowd.

Another great (and really easy) way to incorporate color is with nail polish and lipstick. I recently purchased this Essie color called “mesmerize”. So vibrant!

Everyone knows that you can’t go wrong with hot pink lips.

So listen up fashionistas, grab some color and add it into your wardrobe. It is the perfect remedy for getting you out of your winter funk and ready for spring!

Mesmerize is really pretty – is it a permanent Essie colour?

I’m not sure if it’s permanent but it’s currently still on the Essie website. I purchased mine at Walgreens, they had a wide variety of colors!
